Meilisearch, Typesense, Elasticsearch, Manticore, and Apache Solr are recommended to act as the search engine within your app instead of using the traditional way: MySQL WHERE LIKE.
They are all very fast search engines, written in Rust, Java, or C++ which makes them capable to search up to millions of records within milliseconds.
I'm using them on my own projects: kodekativ.co and relisting.xyz for delivering fast search results based on user requests.
